It was a blazing hot Fourth of July this year, but thankfully we were still able to enjoy most of the festivities without dying of heat. We did our typical schedule for the day this year- went to Sully for the parade in the morning and watched the fireworks in Pella at night!
We had to wait a little bit for the parade to start, which Bella was obviously not thrilled about. :) Every two seconds- is the parade going to start? Is it starting yet? :)
Gracie was content to sit and eat goldfish- one of her favorite snacks!
And there it started! With the loud firetrucks going by. Love those faces. :)
Bella had lots of fun collecting candy with Jager and Tatum.
She was thrilled just to get one piece. :)
Happy girl! And hot girl. :) Thankfully it wasn't too hot in the shade int the morning, so we were able to watch all of the parade.
Afterwords, we headed to Grandpa and Grandma's house for lunch and some pool time! Bella had lots of fun playing in the pool and testing out all the different toys and inflatables.
She is such a little fishie!
Gracie watched from the side for a bit, but we soon had her in too! She also loves the water. :)
After swimming for awhile, we headed back home for Gracie to sleep and Bella to have some rest time. Then we headed back out in the evening to Derek's aunt and uncle's house for supper and fireworks time! However, I ended up bringing the girls home since it was so incredibly hot outside. Daddy then came and got Bella later so she could watch the fireworks- but Gracie was fast asleep. :) Next year!
