Bella's Last Month as a Two Year Old!

May seemed to absolutely fly by, but that makes sense because we kept pretty busy! Here are some highlights of Bella's month- her final month of being 2, tear. :)
Bella finished up her last parent-child swim lessons! Next time she does swimming lessons she will be all by herself. And I think we're actually going to do private for her. She does a little better with one on one instruction, so we are planning on doing that this fall sometime.
Bella got very good at doing big jumps by the end of swim lessons. She made some very big splashes!
She also is definitely getting the hang of swimming by herself and even did it a little bit on her own. We'll have to keep practicing this summer!
With the hot weather, we broke out our outside water toys. Bella has had lots of fun playing with them again!
Showing her infamous grumpy look. :)
Bella had a friends birthday party this month- our neighbors Trey and Kennedy had a joint party with a circus theme, and they rented a pony for all the kids to ride! Bella of course was ALL about that. She took several rides on the pony named Elvis.

Naturally much time has been spent drawing pictures on the sidewalk. :) As always.
THe highlight of sidewalk chalk this month was drawing about 30 mermaids all over. I had the bright idea to draw an ocean with a mermaid swimming around, and Bella jumped on the mermaid idea. I drew Mommy mermaids, Daddy mermaids, Bella mermaids, kitty mermaids... you name it!
Another big surprise- most of our indoor time has been spent playing princesses! And dressing up in princess attire. The first thing Bella does after getting up in the morning is put on a princess outfit- complete with heels, jewelry, and purses. I don't even know why I put regular clothes on her when all we look at is princess attire! :)
She also has a new obsession with lipstick (which is actually just lip gloss) and nail polish. If/when I let her play with make-up, I'm sure that will be going on everyday as well!
Along with her princess love, Bella also adores being a mommy to her dolls/kitties/other children. She talks in this sweet little mommy voice to them and says things like "It's okay honey. Bella's here." or "
Unfortunately that motherly love doesn't always carry over to her sister. :) Gracie has been all over the house this past month, and her favorite things to zero in on are Bella's toys. This has caused some major panic for Bella's world. "She's going near my princesses! Mommy get her! Get her!" And unfortunately Bella does get to have her way with some of her panicking because some of her toys are too small for Miss Chew on Everything Grace. But we still need to work on the art of sharing. :)
Such a crazy girl. :) I only jotted down one funny thing she said this month, but it was a good one: "I can do it myself, I have hands!" Apparently we tell her that quite often when she is wanting us to do something for her- I guess she is listening!

Spending an evening at the park!
